How It Started
When we came together with a crazy, but fabulous, hair-brained scheme we had no idea where it would take us. You see,
we each get an insane amount of pleasure from hunting down used items at garage
sales, second-hand stores—anywhere we can find them, really—and utilizing our
creative juices to craft something beautiful. And this is all well and good,
except for the fact that many of our basements, garages, bedrooms, and closets
are now full of second-hand items that, in the name of a good deal, were just
too great to pass up. So, to get us out of the doghouse with our husbands, whose
“man-caves” and “automotive sanctuaries” now contain “used junk,” and to give us
a reason to continue our bargain shopping and projects when every spare
corner of our homes has been beautified and re-beautified, we are now garage
sale-ing with a purpose. The goal is to collect as many “potentially” beautiful
pieces as possible, refinish them, and then pass them on to you!
We
will keep you updated on some of our greatest finds and on each piece as it is
finished. In short, you will be able to see just what happens when
penny-pinching, vintage-loving, DIY-ers run out of closet space.
